Touring - Likes: The excitement on stage, audience reaction and seeing foreign places.
Touring - Dislikes: Long journeys.
Favourite Smokie Song: "Can't Cry Hard Enough" - It has everything, strong lyrics, a strong melody, a great arrangement and story.
What Instruments Enjoyed at School: Recorder, melodica, organ, flute and percussion.
Most Memorable Moment on Tour: Boarding an army helicopter to fly between gigs in Norway in 1989
What achievements are you proud of? Two double platinum albums and two sell-out tours of South Africa.
When and where did you play the most memorable gig and why was it so memorable for you? Standard Bank Arena in Johannesburg on Wednesday 31st January 1996. Smokie were hailed as being "better than Bon Jovi" and the Springbok Rugby team got up on stage with us that night.
Which musicians of any other bands would you like to work with? What instruments would you like them to play? Sting on bass, Elton John on piano, Steve Gadd on drums and Kenny G on saxophone.
What modern musicians would you like to support your gig? Fleetwood Mac or Bryan Adams.
The music you play can be classed as mainstream. What kind of music of our time do you like the most? Country Rock.
What song are you usually asked to perform as an encore at your gigs? Always "Living next door to Alice".
Could you please name any songs about which you can say "We wish we were the authors of this song"? "Everything I do", by Bryan Adams.
