Well we are back to it once more after a short break in our regular routine of flying around the planet.Denmark kicked last weekend off admirably.2 great nights and as usual our Smokie fans didnt let us down.

 Hi Folks sorry its been awhile but sometimes batteries have to be recharged.We are now 5 shows into our year and the bones and all involved are in shape for our 2013 year.Ireland,Norway and Romania were so kind to us and on returning home last night 2013 hit me.I have to fly again tomorrow.This time Sweden for 2 shows.The Smokie year has once more started and all we can say is 'BRING IT ON' Hope to see some of you thru the next 10 months and look out for photos here.Please check out our facebook pages.SMOKIE and SUPPORT.

Well we are finaly home from our 20 day 15 show tour of Latvia-Lithuania and Poland complete with 2 seperate wonderful orchestras.They were brilliant and a lot of fun was to be had with them.The public as outrageous as ever,the venues all Arenas and the organization fantastic.What can one want more than this.

Poland was a total blast.The orchestra was younger and very vibrant often leaving their positions to dance around the stage.The last night being a case of on stage party in front of the public followed by last night off stage party in front of the touring team. The public just as outrageoes as the first part of the tour.Wild in fact! Amazing and cant wait for our return.

Thanks to all involved for making 3 weeks on the road so easy to do.

 First show finished at Riga Arena with our orchestra.All a bit rushed for rehearsal and soundcheck as they were delayed in traffic but as we have worked together in the past all fell in together very quickly.  4 days of freedom from the stage and hotels so far although telephone interviews still come daily in between the private time here in Yorkshire.Looking forward to our 20 day 14 show tour with orchestra starting in Riga Monday 3rd December.Home for Christmas!

 The band had such a great time on the UK Arena tour with our friends Hot Chocolate Leo Sayer and David Cassidy.36 hours of home life now and feeling well rested.Thanks for the fantastic response from our home country people and beyond and I hope that we can string another one of these tours together again.We all enjoyed and thanks to all the folks who were there.

 Magnificent days here in our own country. All the major Arenas and the most fantastic reactions of Smokie's career in England. We are overwhelmed by the enthusiasm coming in our direction absolutely every night. Thank you so much UK. We'll be back!!!

 Denmark was wide eyed and full on last weekend as we took ourselves there for 3 shows.We found ourselves sleeping at the Legoland hotel at Billund airport on the first night which was a little surreal but cozy. Darth Vader in the reception and a piano man in the bar both made from plastic.Thanks Denmark. Back to studio tomorrow and then our Uk tour starts at the LG arena in Birmingham Friday.Looking forward to getting to play in our home country.

 A great festival weekend in Kristiansand.18 Bands in different venues within 300 m of each other.A wild and brilliant crowd. I arrived a day early and so ended up with our big mates Slade.They were fantastic and for once I got the chance to be part of the public.Congratulations to the organizers of the "Dark Season festival" Very well put together.

 South Korea!What canI say.One amazing short trip full of warmth and politeness.4 shows in 3 days all sold out and and as enthusiastic as could have possibly been.We all have neck ache from all tho bowing that we did.We have already scheduled the next tour to this beautiful country for 2014.We can't wait!

 After finishing in Randers Denmark on Thursday night it is now time to take our annual summer break.1 month of doing whatever pleases us. Its been a great year so far but definately time for the break.We said goodbye to each other on Friday and with a little luck we will all get to see some sunshine wherever the break may take us.

 A busy week last week.Afternoon show in Denmark and Evening in Sweden.Fantastic crowds at both and also great to see old friends including Michael Olsen out Cessns citation pilot who transported ud between the 2 shows.After these we headed home to England for 16 hours and then flew to Malta for a show there.Fantastic! 15000 inside and 2000 outside.A Police motorbike escort and the streets were lined with waving people.Felt like royalty! Back to Germany and home for a few days.

 Thank you Norway for 2 great evenings on the water.Wrightgaaden langesund where all the greats have played from Dylan to Nelson, Cooper and Quo.Our third visit to this great event.Moss also was of the same intimate gig on the Marina and the surprise was that our dressing room was in Pepes Pizza House.We have had lots of them over the years but never thought that we would be eating them in our backstage area.

Next days are in Sweden,Denmark,Malta and Germany.

 3 great shows in Denmark at the weekend culminating with the Vig festival on Saturday night.Early show and so we were back in Copenhagen for 2100 and a few beers in Nyhavn and early start back to Uk for 9 free days.Still raining but getting used to this so called summer.Oh well we have to deal with what is in front of us.

 Interesting trip last weekend comprising of 2 gigs,4 light aircraft,Hotel to ourselves an a lot of enthuseastic folks. in the last 2 trips out we have taken 17 flights and numerous tour busses.Back to Norway at the weekend for one show.

 The Wolven festival in Wolfhalden near St Gallen was another wonderful night in Switzerland.5000 folks suddenly appeared fom the trees between us heading into the dressing room to change cloths to taking to the stage. Amazing.

Czech Republic tomorrow followed by Slovenia and Germany.

 It was a great honour to be asked to perform the last ever gig at the Sound Dock Dietikon this evening.An iconic rock club that has seen the masters of rock grace its stage.Apartment developement on the way unfortunately. A great hot sticky venue. Charismatic crowd and I swam off the stage.

Tomorrow Wolf festival still in Switzerland.

 Great days in Germany once again and for a little relaxation some sun at Dusseldorf Sheraton airport sky garden pre show. The way europe's summer is going so far I am happy for that afternoon. Some days free now and flight to Zurich next week.

 Please be aware that there are fake Smokie bands out there pretending to be the real thing. Check who is in the band first before wasting your money only to be dissappointed.
